According to data framework and flow of GIS evaluation, extraction and comprehensive analysis of ore-forming information of MARS, total framework of mineral resource evaluation system is designed. Give a mineral resource evaluation mathematical model.Then collecting geophysical, geochemical and sense remoting information in western Shandong, using GIS and mineral resource evaluation system based on GIS, space and figure database and attribute database are set up. After combining these two databases together, digital, space and figure database with typical figure, certain space and attribute explanation is set up. Two gold deposit evaluation information databases are set up in western Shandong, such as coordinate system with "degree" as its unit and coordinate system with the scale of 1 .' 500000. Through these two evaluation systems, 12 ore-forming predication areas are circled,. While according to some classification rule, this predication area can be divided into A, B and C type. Among them, 1 belongs to A type; 4 belong to B type and 7 belong to C type, which provide scientific basis for gold exploration in western Shandong.
