Based on the analysis of the function requirement of assembly CAPP in networkenvironment, a system framework for CAPP is proposed in this paper. It includessupport layer, service layer and application layer. The implementation principle andkey technologies of the case-based assembly process are explored in details based onthe proposed CAPP system framework. At first, the system framework and technology framework are set up according tothe general function configuration of the case-based assembly process in networkenvironment. Then correlated technologies are analyzed and used to implement thesystem, which include soft-bus framework in the Web service, Client/Servertechnologies, Network Database, intelligent table, and XML etc. This paperaddresses two issues pertaining to the implementation principle of this system:Client/Server implementation mode and data interchange. The process knowledgebase in XML is also introduced. The product framework model and part knowledgemodel are established, and the enterprise manufacture resource in three-layernetwork is customized based on the idea of assembly structure tree. The paper alsodiscusses and realizes assembly derived process with correlated technologies. In addition, the theory of the case-based assembly process in its platform frameCAPP.Net is illustrated by an example of NQ_CAPP. In the end, conclusion is madeand possible extensions to this system are briefly discussed.
