The experimental teaching system of the job planning and scheduling is a part of the construction for one hundred well-chosen courses to realize the training objective of high quality, high level, diversity, and innovation in Tsinghua University. Its content is to develop a set of research type experimental teaching system to cooperate with the construction of the Modern Manufacturing Technology course. Its objective is to exert the potential and personality of the students, and enhance their creative and engineering abilities. The job planning in a manufacturing workshop is to fix on the machining sequence, the starting time and finishing time for each part. The schedule is the operating sequence under the situation of satisfying the constraint conditions of task plan. The Simulation is to study a real system by means of the experimentation of the systematic model. In this paper, the job planning, scheduling and simulation technique in a manufacturing workshop are studied at first. A research type experimental teaching system of job planning and scheduling is built. Make a thorough study in following respect: 1. The simulation software of discrete sequence QUEST is the developing tool. The teaching system consists of information input module, training library, information library of the workshop, manufacturing source library, schedule algorithm library and the result output/analysis module.2. Design a group of training library, and train the fundamental ability of modeling and simulation of the students. Adopt manufacturing source library of QUEST, carry out re-develop and assemble. According to known part information, student can select manufacturing source,lay out a manufacturing system, create a model of manufacturing system.3.The SCL language is adopted based on the analysis of current advanced algorithms to realize a typical workshop schedule algorithm: pipelining sort method and motile task plan, carry out simulate for job planning and control, out put the simulation result.4.
