This thesis continues to study virtual instruments and virtual laboratory technology based on the work done by last two years' post graduate students. According to the direction book of electronic experiments for bachelor' degree education program of China Education Ministry, this thesis builds a systemic remote virtual electronic laboratory systems. This system is constructed based on an interactive Web-based virtual laboratory environment, which could realize more than 20 experiments about electricity theory, analogy circuits, and digital circuits. Besides these, the system also offers some experiments with virtual sensors that can be future extended to meet the need of education in measurement and calibration domain. This thesis presents a general method to create Internet-based remote virtual laboratory, which includes technologies of remote experiments and simulation experiments. The remote experiments carry out both analog and digital circuits. Lab VIEW is adopted to control local instruments and a computer is used to remotely control some programmable instruments through general purpose interface bus (GPIB). The experiment environment of digital circuits can also used to design new digital system by combining EDA software and local hardware through a download cable. The simulation experiments, by means of LabVIEWs function, can realize signal process and calculation. Meanwhile, it can also realize various electronic experiments based on Active Server Pages (ASP), flash and Java programming. In order to implement remote-control of instruments through internet, a double client-server interface between WWW server and LabVIEW program was exploited. Commands and parameters can be submitted to the Web server via Internet browser, so that users can control remote instruments and view the experiment results at.the same time. Moreover, the function of the system can be continuously extended and developed as the development of relative technologies.
