Compared with the Third Generation of mobile communication system (3G ),the new generation mobile communication (beyond 3G/4G ) can provide lower resource cost while higher data transmission rate. In order to arrive at the aim of lower resource cost, it is necessary to realize the high-rate and large capacity on limited spectral resource. MIMO technology adopts a lot of aerial launching and receiving which can improve capacity and spectral utilization ratio in great extent. It is one of the key technologies that the new generation mobile communication must adopt.This paper firstly introduces the basic principle and key characteristics of MIMO technilogy, then analyses the channel capacity of this system. The main work is studying power distribute algorithms of multi-channel system on the basis of Water-Filling algorithm. The improved power distribution algorithms which is suitable for MIMO system is presented, and its validity is verified through emulation. Finally, MIMO +OFDM technology is studied. Its channel capacity expression in the case of time delay spread is presented. And the emulation to compare MIMO system to MIMO+OFDM system's capacity in interfered case is carried on.
