As a hopeful technology to be used in the physical layer of Next G, MIMO-OFDM is becoming the research focus in communication. In this paper, we first describe the method of simulating MIMO channels. With the assumption of ideal CSI at the transmitter, we discuss the power allocation schemes in MIMO system and MIMO-OFDM system respectively. However, there is no ideal CSI at the transmitter in practical communication systems. This paper finally provides a space-time coding MIMO-OFDM system model with partial CSI at the transmitter. Using this model, we further study the power allocation and the adaptive modulation and give an adaptive 2-D space-time code-beamform method. All the theory algorithms proposed in this paper are proved by computer simulations.
