In these years the quick development of fabric communication technology make the switch system becoming the barrier of modern high speed communication network. So study, design and manufacture high speed switch system are very important for modern high speed communication network.Although switching algorithm is an old subject fields which has been studied years, we should give our more attention to these groundwork due to the the medium of exchange developing and new switching algorithm needed at all time.Furthermore, with high speed development of the telecom network and computer network, the performance of quick and big capacity switching joints and chips improve much.This paper meets the demand of object"Critical ASIC Design" which is one task of "Fifteen" state tackle key problem "40Gbit/s Equipment and System of SDH", studies emphases on the model and algorithm of time-space-time switching in the design of switching chip of SDH wide band. Base of the three stage switch, we put forward a new matrix model, and design a new non-blocking switching algorithm.This algorithm other than anciently switch ones which are base of map. It makes use of matrix to modeling, searching the switch path by matrix replacement. And by the design and experiment we know it goes well and can carry out if we conjunction chips.
