With the development of the Ethernet technology, there is a destination of combining Embedded System and Ethernet, which used in industrial field. Based on this leading control thought, this thesis introduces the project based on embedded industrial Ethernet, discusses and realizes the hardware configuration and software system of the node network controller. The typical applied form of Ethernet is Ethernet plus TCP/IP. The core of building the network is Ethernet controller; Bottom work mechanism of Ethernet is analyzed. What discussed and analyzed is transferring valid Ethernet frame by setting and accessing CS8900A's intern registers. The scheme of combining efficient MCU MSP430F449 and Ethernet controller CS8900A to realize data transferring in network is adopted. The circuit interface between MCU and CS8900A is depicted in detail.Aiming at limited RAM of MCU in embedded application, the network protocol should be deduced properly assuring normal network communication. Ethernet interface procedures mainly deal encapsulation of Ethernet frames to be transferred, accessing CS8900A intern registers and receiving Ethernet frames. Form of Application Procedure Interface is provided to TCP/IP protocol implementation to shield bottom hardware detail from top software. The protocols of network level such as IP, ARP and ICMP are analyzed and implemented. Reliable stream segment transferring protocol TCP and the application level protocol HTTP is implement. Global variables are used to contain frames received and send to avoid RAM consumption owing to parameters transferred, which enhances efficiency of transferring each other between different protocols. The layered framework and logical API could expend functions expediently. The last part of the thesis studies the realization of B/S configuration model. We designed concise web file system, and the interface between embedded node controller and remote browser. Live data from industrial field could be browsed with HTML form. The purpose of project research and design is building embedded Ethernet Web Server aiming at measurement and control. The hardware flat could be R&D and expended further.
