Researching Of The AutoCAD Drawing Database Management Technology Based On VBA

Collaborative design is the researching focus all over the world nowadays. Many collisions are appeared during the process of collaborative design. Result collision is one of the primary collisions. The chief method of solving the result collision is to checke out the correlative dimension during the design process. One of the methods to realize this purpose is that CAD drawing database is operated conveniently and effectively from collaborative design system, and necessary parameters are extracted from database. This thesis is defined to aim at developing AutoCAD drawing database management technology based on VBA.The main researching purpose of this thesis is to realize that drawing database is operated (reading. modifying, adding data and so on ) directly from back end.The AutoCAD drawing database management technology based on VBA is studied in the thesis. First, it is analyzed that the structure of AutoCAD drawing database. technology of exporting the attributes of drawing object such as dimension to the outer database. connecting and operating technology of drawing database. Then, based on VBA. ADO object model and CAO object model is researched. AutoCAD drawing objects are linked to the outer database and the AutoCAD drawing database is built, according the drawing object handle symbol by using the CAO (Connection Automation Objects) object database. This AutoCAD drawing database provides information to users in all the project lifecycle. The AutoCAD drawing database is handled using ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) data access technology. Finely, an AutoCAD drawing database management application system is developed to aim at implementing managing the drawing parameters of CAD system on collaborative design flat and help to solve the result collisions of collaborative design.
