The Design Of A Data Exchange Layer For OA Systems And Relevant Implementation Based On Domino

OA is becoming increasingly popular in the field of e-business and e-GOV. However, in the field of OA research, it is a hot spot that how to exchange data between different OA systems and how to connect the distributed information islands.This paper reviews the development of OA, analyzes the current statuses of OA, discusses the application foreground of Web Services and XML in data exchanging, introduces the general methods of designing a data exchange layer in OA, and describes an implementation in the environment of Lotus Domino/Notes in detail.This paper details the main design object of the data exchange layer with practical implementation ideas. Such a data exchange layer has been deployed in a Lotus Domino/Notes-based OA system in a university, and has proved to be an effect solution to the problem of exchanging data between different OA systems. The data exchange layer in this pager promises to be helpful to the developers who are designing the similar OA systems.
