| DPS (Digital Power System) is description and the reappearance of the real system in reality of mathematics such as physics structure, specific property, technical characteristics, economic management and environmental protection quota, personnel's condition and science and technology activity etc of one certain real power system.This paper focuses on the region distribution network and its network model and network topology for the digital power system. The major contents are such as follows:(l)Analysing the data in power system, and providing the data that DPS needs, and making the data and table corresponding, and enabling that the storage only to be operated on the table, and building the unified data platform of digital power system, and ensureing the sharing, cinsistency and uniqueness of the data;(2)According as the character of the regional distribution network, constructing the network model and design the complete multi-tier database via topology and relation database technique, based on the data platform of digital power system;(3)Using the knowledge about topology and set theory, a topology analysis method for regional distribution network is presented, which has a general validity;(4)A case of single bus with subsection connection is provided as an example which verifies the method in this paper;(5)The characters of the regional distribution network determines the complicating of its management,especially referred to the distribution equipments' geographical characters, which makes it a necessary trend to build a synthesis MIS including GIS, that is distribution AM/FM/GIS aswell as computing and analysis of distribution network become the same explicit.(6)Considering the combination of SCAD A, AM/FM/GIS and the MIS, we can construct many kinds of advanced application software on the base of region distribution network model.In this case, building and maintaining distribution network's numerical model well lays a stable foundation for advanced application softwares .
