With the rapid development of information technology,more and more intelligent control systems are introduced into the power distribution network,the communication network has become more important in the power distribution network.It is especially necessary to design a reasonable and effective communication network at a low cost for power distribution network,however,as a key part of the power distribution network,the communication network needs to be designed carefully and the topological planning must consider some special requirements such as high reliability and scalability,which means that many traditional communication access methods cannot meet the requirements.Meanwhile,the theory of common long-reach and wide coverage PON is already mature and PON network is very similar to the power distribution network in the topology,therefore PON has become the main access technology for power distribution network and more and more researches are focused on PON network.This paper discusses the network design and topology optimization of PON connsiderding the special characteristics of the power distribution network.Based on current researches on PON,this paper concentrates on the access schemes with long reach and wide coverage in power distribution network and proposes the network model of PON.Besides,this paper also discusses how to optimize the PON network technology in power distribution network,which involves the establishment of PON network model,the analysis of hierarchical structure and mapping algorithm.Finally,based on our researches,A PON planning software is designed and developed.Test cases are simulated on a certain area,which reveals the validity of the correlation algorithm in the technology of power distribution network.The main innovation points of this paper are listed below:Firstly,a PON networking scheme based on the long reach and wide coverage in power distribution network is proposed,and the PON hierarchical structure and automatic topology planning algorithm of power distribution network is given.Secondly a backup algorithm of ODN power distribution network based on reliability is designed.Finally,simulation results of real cases using the PON planning software are presented.
