With the rapid development of Internet technologies and applications, web database application development has become the main stream and tendency. According to the requirement of educational administration department of China University of Geoscience (BeiJing), traditional C/S pattern needs to be published on the Internet, so"the B/S Based Educational Administation Information System" Is designed and realized. This thesis discusses the main technique project of B/S pattern, system design, code design, main point and settle method, as well as final system test.1.The main components are as follows:Aimed at originally C/S system's limitation, this system adopts a B/S pattern. In this pattern, all programs are executed on the server part , and client part operates only by a browser, which is named "thin client port". Besides, this system uses a current solution devised by microsoft which combining IIS and ASP and SQL Server for developing a Web server application at the windows environment, and which providing a valid means for developing a dynamic, intercommunication and effective web management system.2. Functions realized are as follows:①Search for current news of educational administration management on the web. ②Course selection in the prescribed time, and characteristic searching in roles of student, teacher, president, school or department leader, etc. The usable information include student's basic information, student's score, curriculum schedule, teacher assess, and so on. ③System manager can proceed user management, authority setup, information release, parameter setup, and database maintain etc.3. Four databases contained are as follows:①Student information database stores the school's section(including school and department, specialty, class,etc); as well as undergraduates' information(including student's serial number, name, score in each academic year and semester, class curriculum schedule, teacher curriculum schedule, etc). ② Teacher's assessment database stores lesson teachers' information(including teacher's serial number, name, etc); as well as teaching assessment result. ③ Undergraduate elective database stores elective information for the school (including courses in each academic year and semester, undergraduate elective selection, etc); as well as the management information for elective (including time, condition, etc). ④Educational administration management database stores the high class power users' information (including user's name, password, legal right,etc); as well as the dictionary of the whole system.4. The main technique and characteristics are as follows:① The convenience and simple. Based on B/ S pattern, system development and maintain are run only on the server part, user can operate system on the web only by a browser. Furthermore, the system has a amity and convenience interface, so it is easy to use.②The real time and share quality. System support unlimited number of users' access; Characteristics usage for users; legal user enjoys appropriate service according to his right, all of which satisfies users of different requirements ③ Variety of searching. This system can realize assemble condition search, blurry search, and separate the search results from pages. ④ safety. This system adopts Windows NT Server safety strategy and IIS safety strategic, adds user's identificationdeveloped by myself, and therefore provides a safety guarantee with it. In addition, the COM module encapsulates the key code, realizes reuseable codes, and further enhances the system's safety and the server's performance.⑤The database business handle. It ensures dependability and safety of the database.
