Preliminary Study On The Definition And Development Trend Of The Urban Newspaper

The urban newspaper has made a notable impact in the presscircles since it was published. There are some research articleson it, especially on the relationship between the urbannewspaper and the evening newspaper.The urban newspaper is the direct result that thenewspapering conforms to the development of market economy.Based on the theory that the market economy has had makingdecisive influence upon the urban newspaper, this paper sets offa discussion of the definition of it against the background of thereform and open and the building of the market economy: it isdependent on the market economics impersonality and gets thepowerful support from the official newspaper subjectively.Firstly, the inevitability of its booming is analysized. Secondly,this thesis states the thought of running the newspaper in theterms of market orientation, overall scheme, concentratingselling and advancing market. Thirdly, the characteristics arediscussed from the practical viewpoint. Especially, thedifferences are discussed to counter the relationship between theurban newspaper and evening newspaper; then conclude theattributes of the urban newspaper; lately, bring forward thedefinition of the urban newspaper. Finally, prediction andproposal are made on the future development trend of the urbannewspaper.
