The rapid development of computer applicatt9n technology represented by technique of computer network and database has impelled the application of Enterprise Management Information System. Taking the management information system of Jingtang Harbor of Hebei Maritime Affairs Bureau as an example, the paper expounds in details the design and realization of operation object oriented management information system based on Client/Server structure, and its main content is: the design and creation of operation class with Object桹riented thoughts and technique, and creation of operation objects which are used to organize operation layer and complete the communication of the layers of interface and database; The generalization of the states possible in management with the method of state analysis and dividing them into states each of which includes a precondition, verification within state, state maintenance and postcondition to complete the verification of state and promote the level of AT and reliability of information; The construction of ActiveX control with object梠riented technique to simplify the design and coding of maintaining complex data sets and in the end to better the maintainability of the program, improve the reusability of the code, simply the difficulties of system design and shorten the periods of development; The design and realization of new type of system structure, that is to construct layer of application interface, operation objects and database server which are connected. Besides the retrospection and survey of MIS nowadays, the paper makes an objective outlook of MIS development in the near future.
