The Education Problems And Solutions To The Aids Of Poor Students In The Western Local Colleges And Universities

The college and university fee system reform and China's policy of increased enrollment highlighted the problem of poor students, and the number of poor college students had a rising trend year by year, the proportion of colleges and universities across the country was not same because of uneven economic development throughout the school categories such as students of different regions, different specific proportion. In the western local colleges and universities, the proportion of poor students was as high as 20-30 percent, some colleges and universities in remote areas of the general health of the poor even reached 50% -60%. Due to financial difficulties for poor students, the economic, academic, ideological and psychological pressure had the multiple, direct impact on the poor personal hygiene to the growth and become the impact of higher learning to a healthy, stable and sustained development. China has attached great importance to poverty college of health, the state, the society and institutions of higher learning have taken a series of measures through various channels to help and support the poor hygiene, and haveachieved some success. However, due to various reasons, the fund work still existed many deficiencies, especially in the western local colleges and universities, poor health education aids and the difficulties faced by the problem was a more severe and more arduous task.To effectively solve the problem of poor students in western local colleges and universities, we need to reform and innovate poverty-stricken health education aids in the western local colleges and universities.Based on the analysis of the current poverty-stricken health and education in western universities, the author pointed out the existing problems, causes and some solutions to improving health education assistance to the poor in the western colleges and universities. Therefore,in the educational assistance to the poverty work we should adhere to the people-oriented, multi-established, harmonious development of the concept of education and education-based aid concept, at the same time establish a long-term assistance mechanisms; we should establish the principles of the poor-student education aids such as combining incentives with equity, combining education with assistance and combining the financial aid with self-help; at the same time, we should set up long-term mechanisms to assist the poor students which include the efficient working mechanism, the relative scientific mechanism of identifying poor students, grant financing mechanism for multi-channel fees and a long-term humanistic care mechanism. Finally, we should have not only material aid to the poor students in the western colleges and universities, but non-material aids such as aiding their learnings, cultivation of their capabilities, career guidance, ideological education and psychological counseling which help realize the moral, intellectual, physical all-round development training objectives.
