According to the principles of compiling history textbooks, and principles of selection and evaluation of contents for the new courses, the author has studied and compared different versions (the Yuelu version, the version of Ren Jiaoban and Ren Ming version.) on the topic "Looking back on the major reforms in history-Wang Anshi reform". From the author's perspective, there are some limitations: (1) They do not meet the objectives of the elective courses. (2) They have not absorbed the latest research results on the reform from the academic field. In this paper, relevant research results are introduced in detail. (3)They do not benefit promoting the research study of historical subjects. (4) They are not conducive to the updating of the concept of teaching and the changes in teaching methods.This paper puts forward some suggestions for the amendments of "Wang Anshi reform": (1) Amend the relevant content in the "standard of course", and add one key point to the original contents: the analysis of the reasons for the failure of Wang Anshi Reform, and the research on the quality that reformers should have and the necessary conditions for the success of the reform. (2) Add another part "The development of commodity economy in the medium-term of Northern Song Dynasty" to the "Reform background". And provide a brief introduction to the relevant circumstances. "Qingli New Deal" should not be highlighted. (3)Increase the coverage on the analysis of the failure reasons. (4) Add one research lesson: "The enlightenment of the reform", and gives the specific design scheme.In short, the basic channel for the implementation of the new curriculum is school classroom teaching, and the textbook is the carrier of teaching. It is self-evident that a good textbook will promote teaching and learning activities. The intention of this paper is to promote changes in teaching methods through compiling a good textbook. Only with great concentration and study can we compile a textbook that meets the demand of the new century on the basis of succession, drawing fine traditions and experience. We should rely on the six specific reform ideas in the "Basic Education Curriculum Reform Program (Trial)" and the basic philosophy and curriculum goals in the "course standard".We should meet the requirements of the new century civic education, absorb the advantages and experience from Chinese Tai Wan and Hong Kong textbooks, and carry out more in-depth analysis of the actual teaching of high school history. At the same time the author hopes that we can promote the transition of the "concept of teaching" and "concept of learning" through the research on the compiling of the history textbook. So we can really put the concept of the new curriculum reform into practice, and cultivate the new century talents with a higher accomplishment of science, culture and the humanities.
