With a new round of curriculum reform, training students'critical thinking is becoming very important in the history teaching. However, the research about it in China is still in the stage of exploration and development. It has not yet formed a theoretical and practical system. In view of this, the article will mainly concentrate on some research work about students'critical thinking in history teaching on the basis of previous studies at home and abroad, which can promote the development of the curriculum reform process.In addition, the article will not only focus on the definition, characteristics and formation of critical thinking from theoretical level but also prove the necessity , possibility and significance of training according to the investigation of high school teaching. What's more, the article will show a number of exploration about training strategies and approaches on the combination of high school teaching practice.
