According to the "School Education Law" in Japan, the Textbook Screening system means that school textbooks must be audited by Ministry of Education (formerly known as the Ministry of Education). The textbook manuscripts of Japan were from civil scholars or educators who wrote freely, and the Ministry of Education audited the textbooks about once every four years on the basis of "study guide essentials". Since more than half a century after the war, the Japanese textbook issue has been a hot international issue, and the focus of the contention is the history view of Textbook Screening system in Japan. This paper will start from the formation of the Textbook Screening system in modern history, by analyzing and comparing Saburo Ienaga textbook litigation and "New History Textbook", to summarize the historic view of Japanese Textbook Screening.The first part analyzes of the formation of Japanese Textbook Screening system. After the promulgation of the Great Japanese Constitution, Japanese Government started to promote national textbooks system, and the military sprit it initiated caused world warâ…¡. After world warâ…¡, Japan began to implement Textbook Screening system under the instruction of the headquarters of the Allies.The second part introduces Saburo Ienaga textbook lawsuit. This section analyzes the existing problems of from the textbook system from the background of Saburo Ienaga sue. The textbook litigation lasting 32 years played an important part in the Japanese Textbooks Screening.The third part describes "New History Textbook" published by Fusosha Publishing. This textbook was reverse and full of and nationalism. This part analyzes the contents of the textbooks, and judges the instructional thought-liberal interpretation of history. The fourth part summarizes the historic view of the Japanese Textbook Screening by analyzing and comparing Saburo Ienaga textbook litigation and "New History Textbook", and analyzes the concern to history textbook and history education.
