Habit is a commonly-used and familiar word for people, which is also a quotidian phenomenon and needs frequent facing. With different research domains and different research angles, the definitions of habit are diverse. After comparing different kinds of concepts of habit, we define the habit in such a way: habit refers to the automatic behaviors manner and action routine with multiple repeats or excises, which is not controlled by conscious but controlled by subconscious.In the previous studies on habit, the angles are changeable, the manners multiple, and the fruit are plentiful and substantial. If we continue to study habit only on the basis of these studies, it is difficult to achieve new breakthrough and can't display our professionalism, because the habit similarly more belongs to sociological scope. In addition, with the passion on teacher professional study, we ultimately confine the research scope into the teachers'teaching habit, and make the semantic analysis of teaching habit. As we all know, teaching habit is the hypogyny of habit and it must be possess the characteristics of habit. Meanwhile, we propose four research hypotheses as the research framework: firstly, everyone has some habits certainly and thus in teaching work teachers could form some teaching habit inevitably; secondly, there might be some mutual influence among different habits, just as a certain habit might affect another habit with completely different representative forms; third, there are different reasons for different habits; fourthly, teaching habit will make certain influence on teaching.We take some troubles in the selection of research methods. With the discussion with our supervisor, qualitative research method is employed to make our research. Hence, we take Mr. Wang Gang as the research subjects. He is my old friend and we have undergone the similar experience which can make sure that we possess the solid"pre-understand"foundation when we"understand"his teaching habit. Otherwise, we make some analysis on"understanding"; after all, we need make"interpretative understanding"or"comprehending". A fuzzy connotation of understanding will greatly hinders our research.Since June, 2 we entered into the research scene, lived together with Mr. Wang Gang for more than one month (the whole process lasts nearly nine months). During this period, taking attending his lesson, observation, interviewing as the research methods, we adopted a large number of first-hand materials.
