College Entrance Examination is explored actively in recent years. This thesis studiesthe relations between College Entrance Examination and Higher Education from the essentialfactors of the College Entrance Examination and the experiences of the developed countries,then try to find ways to reform the College Entrance Examination.The thesis consists five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction. It introduces the College Entrance Examinationtoday and its reform state, then highlights the author's purpose, thoughts and methods ofwriting.Chapter two is a main survey of the process and the relations between College EntranceExamination and Higher Education. It explored the ways to select talents in ancient years, inthe Republic of China and the People's Republic of China and their relations to highereducation.Chapter three is the main chapter in this dissertation. It gives the basic concepts first,then analyses the aim of higher education, the standard of choosing talents and the ways tochoosing talents. At the end of this chapter, it emphasizes on analyzing the relations betweenhigher education and College Entrance Examination from its essential factors.It explores the serving relations between College Entrance Examination and highereducation by stating the College Entrance Examination in Japan and the United States.To improve the Relations between College Entrance Examination and Higher Education,in the fifth chapter, the author makes a suggestion on reforming the College EntranceExamination: first, use a standard unified examination in provinces to improve the highschool students' quality, then use a selection examination in all the countries. We also need touse versified standards to choose talents.
