The Contradictions And Adjustments Of The Outlook On Job Selection For Contemporary University Students

The outlooks on job selections of university students are formed in the process of learning and practicing during university years. They are the combination of the attitudes to, the relatively stable ideas and the basic instruction thoughts of selecting jobs. In recent years, with the further development of the socialist market economy system and the deepening of educational and personnel system reform of work in our country, the problem of university graduates employment is emerging in our country and becoming a universal social phenomenon in a degree. Whereas, it is necessary for us to do some deep research on the problem. This dissertation is based on the situations. With the academic methods and research results, the author analyses the actualities, reasons and contradictions of the outlooks on job selection for contemporary university students, attempts to make a systematic study and proposes the strategies and solutions to the problem.The dissertation includes four parts. The first part analyses the actualities of the views on job selection of contemporary university students, and concludes that there are five characteristics, i.e. independent, many-faceted, pragmatic, competitive and risky.The second part describes how the outlooks formed from three angles, including society, university and students. The third part analyses the four contradictions in the outlooks on job selection of university students. They are material value and spiritual value, individual value and society value, long-term profit and short-term profit, individual ideal and society reality.The fourth part combines the situations of our country, university students' characteristics with the experiences in the countries where university students employment mechanism operates successfully, from principal part object, from macroscopic to microcosmic, from students to universities, government and employers, and concludes some suggestions on how to adjust the outlooks for job selections for university students.
