With Beijing achieving the run right of 2008 Olympic Games successfully and smooth completion of the 28th Olympic Games,the athletic sports of China begin to play an important role on the stage of sports in the world .In order to continue the sustainable development of the athletic sports of our country,prepare for the important international athletic sports events centered on the Olympic Games of 2008, and keep the advantageous position of the athletic sports of our country, the Party Central Committee particularly made the instructions—to carry out the development strategy of athletic sports in full operation, and to further improve the level of athletic sports of our country. The Party Central Committee also calls for—to closely keep up with the new trends of the athletic sports of the world, to combine with the reality of our country, and to plan the development strategy of the athletic sports scientifically.It arouses the extensive attention of the society if the athletic sports of China of the 21st century can have the initiative in its hands, realize the reform and develop smoothly and can accomplish the glorious and arduous task of the Olympic Games of 2008.
