With the widespread use of information technology, the Internet and multimedia are now core areas of education. They are playing a more and more important role in promoting creative people as "the key" to education reform. The document "outlining the required IT in education of teachers" was printed by the Education Department in February, 2002,and made it clear that IT in education would be a compulsory course in teachers' colleges. "The criteria for primary and secondary school teachers' ability to use modern education techniques (experimental)", which was printed by the Education Department on December 25th ,2004, gave details about the required skill level of teachers, as well as that of administrators and technicians with regard to IT in education. There was another announcement about "Carrying out the constructive plan of teachers in primary and secondary schools" in 2005. The principals of the plan: Rasing teachers' ability to use IT in education, improving techniques used in teaching and studying, setting up teachers' IT in education training programs by means of integrating IT with other subjects, thus, increasing the overall quality of teaching, according to this document. It is important to quicken development of IT in education, to promote the reform of compulsory courses, To make rules for teachers training programs, as well as raise overall quality of the teachers and the levels of using education techniques. This assignment was written using information gathered from Lan Zhou Teachers' College. This research has highlighted the major problems existing in present modern IT in education by means of research, including surveys and attending lectures. The teachers' quality need to be improved. The boring teaching style and the poor quality of equipment, ambiguity of learning objectives, low level of self-control, and lack of interest in study, as well as the cold relationship between teachers and students . Strategies and suggestion have been devised according to the above the problems: To enhance the quality of teachers of this course, to change the method of teaching and studying, to enrich the class and choose suitable courseware, to increasing teachers' and students' enthusiasm by the use of a fair and reasonable evaluation system, to increase financial support and improve the condition of laboratory.
