In recent years, China’s small school mental health education continue to move toward a more comprehensive and in-depth direction, people have gradually realized, psychological health education is not only a part-time teacher psychological obligation and teachers of every subject of responsibility. At present, there is little research and lack of empirical research on the mental health education ability of subject teachers.. Therefore, to promote the subject teachers mental health education ability, the comprehensive use of questionnaire, classroom observation and interviews, from the perspective of school leaders and teachers themselves, students feel the status of subject teachers mental health education ability were studied.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1) the questionnaire showed Nanchang City middle school teachers mental health education ability score in the median on partial(3.81) and found inconsistent results in individual topics and questionnaire verified through interviews, classroom observation and other methods.(2) middle school teachers’ psychological education ability there are differences in the demographic data, mainly reflected in: gender, female teachers cognitive ability was significantly higher than that of male teachers; Study on junior middle school teachers higher than senior high school teachers; whether class; at present is the teacher’s ability of the highest; Titles of teachers with high professional title operation ability is higher than that of low grade; years of teaching in 11 years as a dividing line exist significant differences in seniority of large capacity high; disciplines in liberal arts teachers’ cognitive ability higher than science teachers.(3) teachers in middle schools mental health education ability are: school no clear requirements; schools and teachers mental health education responsibility consciousness need to upgrade; teachers psychological health education penetration to carry out poor; training lack comprehensiveness and in view of the problems.Through to analyze the main factors that influence the effect of teachers mental health education ability and the main existing problems, and puts forward the corresponding suggestions and Countermeasures: clear subject teachers carry out the importance of mental health education, establishing and perfecting evaluation standard; subject teachers to enhance the sense of responsibility, pay attention to the psychological health of students; enhanced penetration of the subject teachers carry out mental health education and training for and universality of; development of mental health education materials, promotion of the typical demonstration course; face disciplinary differences, giving play to the discipline advantage; to perfect mechanism of supervision and evaluation. At last, the author summarizes the shortcomings of the research.
