Evaluation of composition is the description and judgment of value that teachers make in students' compositions according to the aim of teaching. In new period, there is something valuable and exploration on evaluation of composition has been done by researchers. But generally speaking, composition evaluation mainly concentrates on the following aspects: methods of correcting and evaluating, forms of comment, skills and errors control of remarking an examination paper. The research and the exploration has solved some concrete problems. It is basis study on the level of experience operation, lack of its own system and patterns, Especially it is a new task whatever on theory or practice how to make evaluation of composition perfect, it is need further research.In the thesis, the writer try to analysis the past conception of evaluation the theory of evaluation and the way of evaluation. Combine two patterns of evaluation, practice of evaluation and testing of evaluation. According to theories of optimization and modern education, the writer pay more attention to the practice of composition teaching in primary middle school in china, try to seek the strategy of optimization of evaluation. In this thesis, all these propositions, three-dimensional evaluation, standard three-ranked evaluation and three-linked evaluation make great effort to explore strategy of optimization. Composition evaluation is a process of picking and choosing. So evaluation whose most principal function is not to prove compositions, but to improve them makes activities of composition teaching more perfect and inclined to develop the writing ability of students.
