Composition has a prominent place in Chinese College Entrance Exam. Therefore it has been received great concern by all levels inside and outside of educational set. As a crucial examination point closely related to students'future, assignment of topics for composition inevitably becomes our main concern. As a result, it is necessary to review the past topics of composition, explore its development trend and analyze merits and demerits. Since composition of Chinese Entrance Exam is made to test the students'integration capability, which can truly prove a student's Chinese level. In the meantime, the development and revolution of Chinese composition in Chinese College Entrance Exam has a tremendous influence in composition teaching in high school. In the paper, the author combines the theory in text book and the teaching experience in composition as well as the research on Chinese composition in College Entrance Exam in an attempt to explore the relationship between the assignment of topics in composition and practical teaching of composition in daily study. Besides that, author promotes some strategies about how to enhance the composition teaching by studying compositions of college Entrance Exam.Chinese compositions in College Entrance Exam are chosen as object of study in this paper. The paper can be divided into 4 parts: the first part is introduction; in the second part, the author is going to make a conclusion of the content, thought, form of the College Entrance Exam composition and its development trend. What'more, through comparing the our compositions with College Entrance Exam compositions in foreign countries, the author plans to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of compositions home and aboard, and talk about author's own idea; in the third part, the author tries to make a conclusion of the current situation of College Entrance Exam composition and daily teaching of composition in order to learn some lesson from it; in the fourth part, taking new curriculum into consideration, the author strives to work out some solutions to combine exam and teaching together; the author also puts forward some suggestions about how to enhance the composition teaching by studying compositions of college Entrance Exam and also gives some referential advice about the teaching and research of compositions.
