Entrepreneurial University-The Practice Of A New Idea Of University

As the knowledge economy era, the higher education sector also faces along with the development and make corresponding changes to the situation. The position of the universities as knowledge-intensive organizations has changed from the social marginal mechanism to the axis of economic society, and universities are undertaking the task of technological innovation and radiation in the regional and social development. Meanwhile, the "Innovative Nation Strategy" has posed new challenges for universities. As a joint result of the popularization of higher education, fiscal austerity of the universities and other multiple causes, in Europe and America as well as Asia and Latin America, there were a few universities which developed the similar innovative patterns in response to the demands and pressure that the universities faced inside and outside it. These universities did not totally depend on the governments any more to get the funds and the developing chances. They made use of their own intellective innovation to introduce the funds into the hi-tech enterprises that they established. At the same time, the universities accelerated the transformation of the original science and technology creations, developed the new enterprises, and transferred the technical patterns to the enterprises. Therefore, "entrepreneurship" has become the outstanding character of these universities in the past decades, and they gain the new title "Entrepreneurial University", making the sudden appearance of American entrepreneurial universities, such as the myths of "Silicon Valley" and "128 Highway Legend".Followed by it offer the new referential space to us. The grow-up of entrepreneurial universities, a practical model of university based on newly integrated ideas, is not only an important phenomenon of higher education but the focus of discussion in recent years. In order to do further research on entrepreneurial universities, this thesis combines management studies with Higher Education, organizational behavior study, etc. and applies comparative analysis method, example analysis method and the method of combining theory with practice.
