The new state of social transition in current China, the new situation of our educational reform and development, the new requirement of the implementation of the"Regulations on Primary and Secondary Head Teachers" and the new trend to promote the professional development of head teachers all contribute to a new higher requirement for head teachers. The key to class management is a good teacher-student relationship. Effective communication of head teachers relates to overall development of the students, the expectations of all families and the core competitiveness of the builders of our country's future. So this paper first, from the theoretical aspects, cultivates the meaning, characteristics, theoretical basis and practical platform of the effective communication of primary and secondary head teachers. And the questionnaires and other investigations indicate that the current status of primary and secondary head teachers'communication is that the concepts are advanced, the actions lag behind, and the effectiveness of communication is dissatisfying, which is caused by the long-standing simplified management habits of head teachers, the lack of communication skills and methods, and the lack of proper understanding on the differences of parents and the diversified developments of students.Therefore, it is urgent to enhance and improve effective communication of primary and secondary head teachers. This paper, from the practical level, further points out head teachers should follow the principle of guidance, equality, and incentive, adhere to being guided by the socialist core value system, understand and respect students and their parents sincerely, and solve the problems among students earnestly while being good at using communication skills, and improving communication effectiveness through activities. When head teachers communicate with students, they should abandon the command of power, and cherish emotional education; they should be concerned about students'development and value the handling of details; they should adjust their emotions and emphasize self-demonstration. When communicating with students'parents, head teachers should understand them and provide educational guidance; they should respect parents and stimulate educational participation. When communicating with other colleague teachers, head teachers should treat them equally, vigorously promote and stimulate emotion, create opportunities for a more harmonious relationship. When communicating with school leaders, the leadership should be respected and head teachers should ensure accurate understanding of intentions and choose the appropriate time with proper use of body language; they should enhance learning and improve communication effectiveness. In short, concerning specific tasks, head teachers are supposed to learn the role exchange, make efforts to improve the work, and endeavor to actively promoting effective communication so as to work better results.
