A head teacher in a class is the organizer and leader, facing dozens of students who are ofdifferent personalty and hobbies. The students’ marks are variable. Doing well in the basicconditions, ways and methds of the head teacher means communicating with these varities ofstudents effectively, that is, applying and paying attention to the art of communication.However, there are lots of head teachers paying little attention to it in reality and they arelacking in communication skills, which result in disharmony communication and relationshipbetween teachers and students.The thesis can be divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the raise of thetopic, background information, the literature review at home and abroad, the purpose,meaning, content and methods of the study on communication arts of the head teachers.Thesecond chapte deals with the basic concepts, which include the substance, classification andsignificance of communication arts, and theoretical basis of the topic,that is, the theories ofinformation-communication, the theories of the dialogue between teachers and students,thetheories of student-teacher interaction. The third chapter is the main content of the paper,which deals with the skills and techniques of communication arts performing in theorientation, content, language, behavior and activities of other aspects. The communicationarts of the head teacher should determine the purpose of communication, the content shoud beclearly and truly, the language shoud be proper, humor, and refined.Besides, communicatingshoud also be flexible and diverse. Body languages, for example, expression in one’s eyes,smiling, patting shoudle are also effitive ways of communication. The forth chapte deals withthe main problems and the reasons of these problems between the head teacher and students.Firstly, they are lacking in trusting each other and emotional connunication. Secondly, thehead teacher treats students unfairly. Last but not least, there are unequal status between headteacher and students. The fifth chapter aims to explore the strategies and make suggestions forthe problems that exist in the communication between the head teacher and students. In orderto make the communication between the head teacher and students effective.Above all, weshould change the concept of the relationship between teachers and students. Second, the headteacher should improve self-cultivation and quality. At last, head teacher’s communicationskills and school management should be improved.
