Democratic Construction At The Grassroots Level In The Harmonious Society

The 17th National Congress of the CPC Pointed out that the development of grassroots democracy ensure the people to enjoy more democratic rights more effectively. The people exercise the democratic rights directly in accordance with the constitution and the law, manage grassroots public affairs and public welfare undertakings,implement self-management,self-education,self-service, self-monitoring, and exercise democratic supervision over cadres, which are the most effective and extensive way for people to be the masters of the country, we must serve it as the basis for constructing socialist democratic politics and focus on promoting the project.This has indicated the party and the country takes highly to our country democracy at the grassroots level construction.16 the Fourth Plenary Session of the Party Central Committee of the party have proposed constructing the great strategic task of the harmonious society clearly, and have proposed constructing the basic demand of the socialist harmonious society. The democratic construction at the grassroots level is the important content of the socialist democratic politics construction, and it is also the political foundation stone and important guarantee of constructing the socialist harmonious society. Speaking in certain meaning, there is no the socialist harmonious societies, without the socialist grassroots democracy.Under constructing the background of the harmonious society at present, democracy at the grassroots level construction in our country has obtained the great achievement, but it also has had all sorts of prominent questions simultaneously. In view of this, this paper is divided into three parts, the first section describes that the reinforcement of grassroots democracy is the foundational project of the harmonious society construction, the second section analyzes the current situation of the development of democratic construction at the basic level of our country in the harmonious social course, including the achievement and the outstanding problem in the democratic construction at the basic level of our country existing in the harmonious social course, the third section puts forward to strengthen and improve the countermeasure of democratic construction at the basic level in the harmonious social course. Through analysis and study of this article, it has offered beneficial exploration for further strengthening and improving the democratic construction at the basic level of our country in the new situation, at the same time, and it has had important theoretical value and practical significance for building socialist democratic politics with Chinese characteristics and constructing the harmonious society.
