The Research On Yuan Dynasty Complex Dramas Judgment

Yuan Dynasty Complex Dramas is the ancient Chinese art treasures, which gives us a truthful picture of contemporary social life and reflects the playwright's thoughts and feelings. As for this cultural heritage, previous researchers focus on the authors and works, or explore the play's phonology and rhythm. But judgments at the end of the some scripts are difficult to explain just from the viewpoint of literature because of their lengthy content, so they had not been drawn previous researchers ' attention. It will have new discoveries in the eyes of the law, because the judgments are a simulation of legal instrument. From this angle, this thesis is aimed at ancient law to interpret drama judgments and expect to have a better understanding of the script. In view of the above idea, this thesis is divided into four parts.The first chapter is devoted to determine the version of judgments in the Yuan Dynasty Complex Dramas. Yuan drama is a literary style, which is popular among the people. In addition to Yuan Kan Za Ju San Shi Zhong, the existing versions are compiled by the people from Ming Dynasty. Comparing Ming's anthology with San Shi Zhong , we have found that judgments in the Ming version were not created by Ming's people. The judgments have minor differences between Selections from Yuan Drama, Anthology of Yuan Dynasty Complex Dramas and Gu Ben Xi Qu Cong Kan Si Ji, and contents of the former are more completed, so they can provide evidence in the exposition. Judgment of Yuan Dynasty Complex Dramas is a kind of literary creation, and its creation is not only relevant to skills of previous generation, but also is bound to the level of legal development. It is full of obvious literariness and closely related to real life, comparing with practical judgment.The second chapter is devoted to tidy the content of judgment in Yuan Dynasty Complex Dramas, which is one of highlights of the thesis. In this chapter, firstly study the penalty in all judgment to make a textual research on similarities and differences in drama judgment and contemporary law, and to clarify the causes of its gap; secondly, explore judgment for officials and analyze the reasons of appearing this phenomenon to understand the system of reward and punishment on officials Yuan Dynasty; thirdly, examine the judgments for faithful minister and dutiful son to uncover the author's creation psychology; finally, study the praise of judgment for loyal law and the emperor's kindness to explore their practical basis and discuss the causes of their appearance.The third chapter discusses the expression of judgment in the different scripts, which is another one of highlights of the thesis. The scripts can be divided into three categories: detective drama, Shui Hu drama and love drama, and examine their legality of each of these judgments on the offender's punishment, and find out the gap and their creation causes between reality and literature, then make a conclusion which is a true reflection of real life, which is a living fiction of the art.The fourth chapter is devoted to analyze writing purpose of judgments and effect from judgments on script structure. Through the complete study, found out judgment not only takes care of the appreciation requirement from audience, but also it is the carrier on which author promote "stark choice". In the script structure, judgments constantly sum up the content for script writing; and have some influence on appraising the title of the script.
