"New historicism"began at USA in 1980; It is a practical and systematic theory which is dedicated in clarifying complicated relations among literature, philosophy and history. And formulates its own culture characteristic.This article is researching and analyzing new historicism as a kind of literature criticism and try to discuss this theory system of this literature criticism including critical view, method, and format and composing of word. What's more, further discussion is about how new historical criticism influence the current literature criticism and literature research. There are five parts in this article.:First part is overview of rising of new historical criticism including review of the background and theory origin of new historical criticism, which is set in western culture situation.In the second part, it is mainly discussed about literature viewing system of new historical criticism including how social history is reflected by literature in the view of new historical criticism and how to judge the authenticity of literature and functional value of new historical criticism and etc.Third part is exploring the method strategy of new historical criticism, which includes, the marginalization of strategy, thick description interpretation of law, and"opens up the literary text and non-literary text of the limits of" criticism of strategy, and made deep analysis connecting with practice of new historical criticism.I was analyzing the way of talking of new historical criticism from the restructure of history and rebuilt of history, which focused on what kind of history we need to build and further discussion on way of talking of Anecdote principle connected with critical practice.I elaborated in the fifth part about understanding and thinking of new historical criticism currently. One is discussion on current meaning of new historical criticism and second is evaluation and discussion on relations between new historical criticism and our literature research and achievements and what's more, is about meaning for development and future expectation.
