The Artistic Features Of The Small Pieces Of Song Landscape Paintings And Their Influence

The small pieces of Song landscape paintings play an important form in the history of Chinese painting, which has had a profound impact on the future generations. When we appreciate those works today, beautiful happy feelings will soon rush to us. This thesis aims to compare those works with the landscape paintings of the later generations, especially the small pieces, from the perspective of the art form in order to get the linkages between them, and more than that, summarize the application of them in my own practice of life painting.The full text is divided into two parts:Part I is on the background and reasons for painting. This section mainly deals with the linkages between the small pieces of the Chinese landscape paintings and the economic and cultural trends, and custom in this period. And it also focuses on the art features of the small pieces of the Southern Song Dynasty Chinese landscape paintings by analyzing their organization of picture and ink effects.Part II is to clarify how the design and brushstrokes influence the albums of painting and the small pieces of landscape paintings. The last part is about how I combine the art features which I understand while learning Southern Song Dynasty landscape painting pieces with my own practice of nature drawing.
