Objective: To investigate the correlation between blood pressure and influence factors, BMI(Body Mass Index),WC (waist circumference) and WHtR (waist-to-height ratio) of school-age children in Chongqing.Methods: Height,weight,waist circumference and blood pressure were measured of the 1963 school-age children in the randomized. According to the subjective criteria, 1938 school-age were studied. The 1938 children were from 6 primary schools, including 2 large schools,2 middle schools and 2 small schools, in which more than 10 percent children are overweight or obesity. Then analysis the correlation between blood pressure and BMI,WC,WHtR. And the number of boys and girls are basically equal. Children of 11-years-old should been recorded whether he or she experienced the first emission or the menarche.Results:1,The mobility of pre-hypertension and hypertension in school-age children of Chongqing were 4.6% and 6.6% respective. And the total mobility was 11.2%. Univariate analysis showed that there was statistical significance of difference in mobility and age (χ2=49.4,P<0.0001).2,53.9% of school-age pre-hypertension were diastolic hypertension while 28.9% of hypertension were diastolic hypertension. The total mobility was 39.2%.3,10.1% school-age children were overweight while 6.9% were obesity. The total mobility was 17.0%.4,Univariate analysis showed that there was statistical significance of difference in BMI group and blood pressure group (χ2=243.9,P<0.0001). RR( Risk Ratio) between high blood pressure and high BMI was 4.4. Analysis showed that there was statistical significance of difference in SP ( Systolic blood pressure ) and BMI ( r=0.49,P<0.0001). Analysis showed that there was statistical significance of difference in DP ( Diastolic blood pressure) and BMI ( r=0.41,P<0.0001).5,Univariate analysis showed that blood pressure group (r=0.29,P<0.0001),SP (r=0.44,P<0.0001) and DP (r=0.40,P<0.0001) were related to WC. Blood pressure group,SP and DP were related to WC in age 7,8,9,10 groups of both boys and girls. No significance of difference were found between WC and SP,DP,blood pressure group in age 11 group of both boys and girls.6,Univariate analysis showed that blood pressure group (r=0.26,P<0.0001),SP (r=0.30,P<0.0001) and DP (r=0.23,P<0.0001) were related to WHtR. Blood pressure group,SP and DP were related to WHtR in age 7,8,9,10 groups of both boys and girls. No significance of difference were found between WHtR and SP,DP,blood pressure group in age 11 group of both boys and girls.7,Respondent rate of 11-years-old children about whether they experienced the first emission or the menarche was 75.2%(boys 55.7%, girls 95.8%). And children revealed that they had already experienced the first emission in male and the menarche in female leaded 5.8% (boys 0, girls 12.0%). 23.5% ( boys 43.8%, girls 2.1%) had no record.Conclusion:1,The mobility of pre-hypertension and hypertension of school-age children in Chongqing was high.2,The mobility of hypertension increase while age of school-age children increase. The hypertension interfering should begin from childhood.3,As simple diastolic hypertension proportion can't be ignored, we should be serious to children diastolic pressure.4,Overweight and obesity are risk factor of high blood pressure of school-age children.5,WC,WHtR have certain value to forecast hypertension of school-age children, WC,WHtR of 11-year-old children can not be the hypertension forecast index but. |
