Objective Sudden cardiac death (SCD) characterized by high mortality rate is an important issue in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Cardiomyopathy is one of the main cause of SCD. Looking for noninvasive parameters that could predict SCD and evaluate the risk stratification in patients with cardiomyopathy are one of the key factors in the prevention of SCD. The purpose of this study is to explore the valuable noninvasive parameters of SCD in patients with cardiomyopathy. Methods 410 Chinese patients with cardiomyopathy were collected from 2001 to 2008 years. The incidence of arrhythmias, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), electrocardiogram (ECG), B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) and their associations were evaluated. PR interval, QRS width, QT interval, QTc and Tp-Te interval of ECG parameters were included. According to LVEF, five groups were divided as LVEF>50%,40%
