Objectives To explore the effects of Nuclear M-CSF on the expression of cell cycle associated proteins in HeLa cells ,and make sure their roles. Methods HeLa cells, HeLa-C cells and HeLa-M cells were cultured in DMEM medium. The expression of Rb,E2F-1,Cyclin D1,Cyclin D3,Cyclin E,CDK4,CDK2,c-Myc,c-Fos,c-Jun in HeLa cells, HeLa-C cells and HeLa-M cells were assayed by Western blot. Results The results from Western blot showed that the expression of Cyclin D1, CDK2 and c-Jun in HeLa-M cells is remarkedly higher than that in HeLa cells and HeLa-C cells(P<0.01). Our results indicated that expression of Rb, E2F-1, Cyclin D3, Cyclin E,c-Myc and c-Fos significantly reduced compared with HeLa cells and HeLa-C cells(P<0.01). There was no difference for the expresion of these proteins above-mentioned between HeLa cells and HeLa-C cells(P>0.05).Conclusion Nuclear M-CSF induces the expression of Cyclin D1, CDK2 and c-Jun and down-regulates the expression of Rb,E2F-1, Cyclin D3, Cyclin E,c-Myc and c-Fos in HeLa cells.
