Effects Of Macro-needling Therapy Combined With Rehabilitation Training On The Spasticity Of The Upper Limb In Patients With Stroke

Objective:Through the spasticity of the upper limb in patients with stroke using macro-needling method combined with rehabilitation training,To observe the feasibility and validity of the treatment.looking for seeking more effective and convenient treatment programs provide a basis in Clinical.Methods:42 patients were randomly divided into two groups,treatment group and control group.There were 21 patients in each group. Treatment group and control group were chosen the sanme acupoints in three yang meridians,the patients in the treatment group were treated by macro-needing method,and the patients in the control group were treated by the conventional acupuncture, while both of them were treated by rehabilitation training.All patients were assessed before and after training period.The evaluating items included: (1)modified Ashworth scale for the level of the Convulsion of the upper limb; (2)Brunnstrom scale for the obstacle of the motor function of the upper limb; (3) Fugl-Meyer (FMA) assessment scale for the motor function of the upper limb; (4) Modified Barthel index (MBI) scales for activities of daily life.Results:(1) There is a improvement (P<0.05) of the spasticity of the upper limb,ability of daily life both in the treatment group and control group before and after treatment.(2) There is no statistically significant difference (P>0.05) of the spasticity of the upper limb,ability of daily life between the treatment group and control group after treatment.And there is no significant difference in treatment between the two groups.(3)Significant negative correlation between the spasticity of the upper limb and ability of daily life (P<0.05),significant negative correlation between the spasticity of the upper limb (P<0.05).Conclusion:(1) the macro-needing therapy Combined with rehabilitation training and the conventional acupuncture with rehabilitation training both can relieve the spasticity of the upper limb,improve the motor function of upper limb,ability of daily life.And there is no significant difference in treatment between the two groups.(2)the macro-needing therapy Combined with rehabilitation training has feasibility and validity,it can be used for the spasticity of the upper limb in the clinical treatment.
