Going with the developing of the China HIV/AIDS epidemic, HIV-infected number by sex is accounting for a larger proportions of all the number infected. Most of the floating population are in young age, they are prone to high risk sexual behaviors, as a result, they have the susceptibility of HIV infection.1) Investigate HIV-related knowledge and behavior of male floating population in Shanghai.2) Explore HIV-related risk factors exist in this population.3) Investigate the social disease suffering and diagnostic therapy.4) Seeking the influencing factor about health seeking behaviors.Inflowing city Shanghai is selected as study site. Both qualitative and quanti tative methodologies were employed in the field investigation. Most of the objec tives were selected from three working sites such as building fields, factories, hotels. Convenience sampling were conducted in this survey. Then conducted surv ey with a questionnaire. Interviewee who occurred in AIDS-related sexual risk be haviors will be selected from the questionnaire survey to one to one individual in-depth interview to learn more about AIDS related risky sexual behaviors and t he risk factors. Building a database with Epidata3.0 to entry quantitative surve y data, then import the data to SPSS13.0 to analysis, qualitative interviews are recorded and transformed into the text format, the content were coded, classifi ed, summarized and analyzed.This study investigated a total of 819 quantitative questionnaires, from which 37 cases were taken to an individual in-depth interview.1 Study the level of AIDS knowledge and possible influencing factors. The total awareness rate of 792 informants is 73%,18.1%(143人) correctly answered all the 8 AIDS knowledge questions. Education level is an influencing factor.2 Factor about social disease infection status and health seeking behavior. Three of the 792 informants had social disease,50 had STI symptoms before, the most familiar venereal symptoms is arthritis related symptoms.14(28%) of 50 persons who had venereal symptoms seek medical care immidiatly,17(34%) delay to seek medical care and 19(38%) didn't have any medical care.21(69%) of the 31 patients who didn't seek medical care immidiatly will go to the urinary clinic in hospital if they catch venereal symptoms. Which place they chose mostly depending on factors such as dependable therapeutic, rational fee.3 HIV-antibody test status of male floating population and the influencing factors.4.8% of the 792 informants had HIV-antibody test before.49.1% didn't know any site of HIV-antibody test. The influencing factors are dependable therapeutic, conveniency, rational fee and secrecy 4 The status of HIV related risk behaviors and the influencing factors.645 of the 792 informants come from three sites had ever sexual behaviors,62(9.6%) of which had commercial sexual behaviors.93 (14.4%) of which had ambulatory sexual behaviors. 56.27% of informants unmarried had sexual behaviors. The influencing factors of commercial sexual behaviors are likely to be economic status, social circumstance, vocational character, drink etc. The influencing factors of ambulatory sexual behaviors are likely to be open mind of sextual notion, marital status, age etc.5 The status of condom using and influencing factors.75.8% of informants from three sites continue to use condoms in commercial sexual behaviors and 12.9% never use condoms in commercial sexual behaviors.51.6% of informants from three sites continue to use condoms in ambulatory sexual behaviors and 21.5% never use condoms in ambulatory sexual behaviors. The main causes of not using condoms in commercial sexual behaviors are "don't like", "can't get in that time". The main causes of not using condoms in ambulatory sexual behaviors are "unnecessary", "don't like" and "can't get in that time". The rate of getting free condom of informants from three sites is 22%.The male floating population of this investigation in ShanghaiThis are mainly from three types of sites such as construction sites, factories, hotels, most of them are young and sexually active, a significant proportion of this population participating in commercial sexual behaviors, more than half of the unmarried respondents had sexual intercourse. The condom usage rate is not high when they have risky sexual behaviors, especially in the ambulatory sexual behaviors, most of them believe their sexual partners reliable, they rarely use condom. The unprotected risk sexual behaviors increased their risk exposured to HIV, this study also found a definite proportion of this population had STI related symptoms before, most of the infection people can not find medical cure immediately, some people are not treated. Sexually transmitted infection increases the risk of the spreading of AIDS among this population. This population have incomplete knowledge about AIDS, especially knowledge of non-transmission routes of AIDS, which will increase prejudice on AIDS among this population. The research shows that there in general be exclusion to people living with AIDS in this population, more than half of them refuse daily contact with people who living with AIDS. Very few of the responts accepted VCT, most of them do not know the location of VCT site, or do not know totally, this shows that the current VCT dissemination is not enough currently, it is't so availability. The main reasons of risk sexual behavior include:to meet the sexual desire, relax and escape depression, way of entertainment with friends, contamination of adverse social vogue etc. Advise that riching mobile entertainment, enhancing young people's sexual health education, promoting AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases related knowledge in this population, increasing their awareness of disease prevention. Risky sexual behaviors is a influencing factor for sexually transmitted infections, which should be changed through a variety of ways and reduce the incidence of risky sexual behavior. The penetration rate of free condoms in this population is not high, it is recommended that setting free condom distribution points by the roadside, railway stations, neighborhood of community committee and so on where floating population conveniently to reach.
