Objective:To study the mechanism,diagnosis,therapy and prognosis of biliary obstructive jaundice .Methods:Study retrospectively 34 patients from January 2006 to January 2010 in the fourth hospital of Hebei Medical University .Result:Twenty-four cases of malignant obstructive jaundice and ten cases of benign obstructive jaundice in thirty-four patients with biliary obstruction.Two cases coexist with infection of the bile duct. The primary clinical symptoms of biliary obstruction are icteric sclera and skin of the whole body .All the cases were proved by clinical and assistant checks,including blood,hyperacoustic, CT and MRCP.Six patients were operated by PTCD , five by ERCP and two by surgical operation.At last ninteen patients were inproved,and seven were dead.Conclusion: Obstructive jaundice takes malignant tumour as the core.pancreas cancer is the most important pathogenic factor of obstructive jaundice. Malignant obstructive jaundice patients'damaged liver function is more obvious than benign obstructive jaundice patients'. Surgery and getting involved to treat have already become some appeasing means of malignant obstructive jaundice. Benign obstructive jaundice's transfer and prognosis are much better than malignant obstructive jaundice's.
