The Clinical Observasion On Treatment Of Primary Dysmenorrhea Of Congealing Cold And Blood Stasis With Wenjinghuayuzhitong Decoction

Objective: To observe the effect of wenjinghuayuzhitong decoction on Primary dysmenorrheal of the type of Congealing cold blood stasis,which provided scientific basis for the treatment's application in clinic and research. Method: 40 cases suffering from primary dysmenorrheal disease (Congealing cold blood stasis) treated by wenjinghuayuzhitong decoction were selected, and 38 cases treated by western medicine (indometacin) was as control group. Before and three menstrual cycles after the treatment, the scores and duration of abdominal pain,the scores of other correlate clinical symptoms and signs were recorded. The rate of recurrence were also observe after one months,and blood routine, urinary routine, stool routine and cardiogram, hepatic function and renal function of the treatment group were examined before and after the treatment. Results: 1. The total effective rates of dysmenorrheal in treatment and control group were 87.50% and 78.95% respectively with no difference between them (P>0.05). The recoverable and remarkable rate of the group was 62.50%, while that of the control group was52.63%. There was also with no difference between them (P>0.05). 2. The total effective rates of TCM syndromes were95.00% and73.68% in treatment and control group respectively with obvious difference between them (P<0.05). The recoverable and remarkable rate of the group was 70.00%, while that of the control group was47.39%.And the difference was existent P<0.05); The scores of total clinical symptoms after the treatment were different between them(P<0.05);and the difference were also between the before and after treatment on the scores(P<0.05). It shows that the treated group can ameliorate better than the control in the total clinical symptoms as a whole. 3. Both groups can ameliorate correlate clinical symptoms. Comparing each group on the same symptoms after treating, the treatment group has significant difference from the control group on the amelioration of cold sensation in the body and aversion to cold ,scanty menorrhea with purplish color menses and clot ,etc (P<0.05). 4. The rate of recurrence in treated group and control group were 15.00% between them and 60.00% respectively with difference after one months (P<0.05). 5. The investigation of the relative factors and the clinical effect shows that the effect is relevant to age, patient's state of the illness .The clinical effect of the younger, lighter state is probably better than the others. 6. There is no abnormal changes for the treatment group in blood routine, urinary routine, stool routine and cardiogram, hepatic function and renal function after the treatment. It indicates that wenjinghuayuzhitong decoction has no harmful reaction, and it is safe in the course of clinical application. Conclusion: wenjinghuayuzhitong decoction can treat Primary Dysmenorrheal and ameliorate the correlate symptoms through its good anodyne effect and regulating the body as a whole, and the rate of recurrence was low. It deserves to be spread and studied in the clinic.
