OBJECTIVE To detect the expressional variability of RASSFIA and CyclinDl between osteosarcoma and osteochondroma; to explore clinical significance and correlation of RASSFIA and CyclinDl in osteosarcoma.METHOD The expression of RASSFIA and CyclinDl in 46 cases of osteosarcoma and 20 cases of osteochondroma were detected by SP immunohistochemical method, The results were analyzed by SPSS 10.0 statistical analysis package.RESULTS The expression of RASSF1A and CyclinD1 in osteosarcoma doesn't represent statistical significance with age, gender pathologic types and location (P>0.05). But the expression of RASSFIA represents statistical significance with differentiation (p=0.009). The difference is significant. The expression of RASSFIA is 21 positive cases in osteosarcoma, the negative rate is 54.30%.The staining locates is cytoplastic and (or) nucleus. But the negative rate in control group is 5.00%, the difference is significant (x2=14.22,P<0.001).The expression of CyclinDl is 29 positive cases (accounting 63.00%) in osteosarcoma. The staining locates mainly in nucleus, it represents statistical significance compared with control group (x2=8.08,P=0.004).In 46 cases of osteosarcoma, there are 12 cases which RASSFIA are positive expression while CyclinDl are negative, there are 20 cases which RASSFIA are negative expression while CyclinDl are positive. It is confirmed by Spearman rank correlation that The expression of RASSFIA and CyclinDl in osteosarcoma is negatively correlated, the difference is significant (rs=-0.383,P=0.009)..CONCLUSIONS The silencing of RASSFIA and the expression of CyclinDl may play an important role in osteosarcoma pathogenesis and development. |
