Microsurgical Treatment Of Anterior Communicating Artery Aneurysms

Objective : To investigate the effect of microsurgical treatment of anterior communicating artery aneurysms.Methods:Under endotracheal intubation anesthesia, the 45 patients of anterior communicating artery aneurysm treated in our hospital from January 2006 to December 2009, were analysed retrospectively, aneurysm neck clipping underwent the microscope via pterional which is the advantage of the blood supply.20 cases were operated within 3 days,16 patients operated from 4 to 14 days,9 cases delayed surgery(after 14 days). Post-operation CTA exam.Results: According to Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS) grade to evaluate, 31 cases were good recovery(4-5 points),including I scale 1case, II scale 17 cases, III scale 6 cases, IV scale 7 cases; and severe disability (2-3 points) in 9 cases, including II scale 1 case, III scale 1 case, IV scale 5 cases, V scale 2 cases; death in 5 cases, including III scale 1 case, IV scale 2 cases, V scale 2 cases.Conclusion: According to the head CTA before surgery, understanding the location of aneurysm, size, shape, aneurysm neck width, tumor point, and the relative position of the skull base bone structure etc fully, microsurgical treatment of anterior communicating aneurysm is an effective and precise method, and it can significantly reduce disability and mortality rates.
