Relationship Between BaPWV And IMT For Patients With Preclinical Atherosclerosis And The Preliminary Discuss Of The Syndrome Differentiation Type Of TCM

Objective: To investigate the relationship between brachial-ankle artery pulse wave velocity(baPWV)and IMT for patients with preclinical atherosclerosis and the relationship between baPWV and gender, body mass index(BMI), low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C), high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and high-density lipoprotein(HDL-C), then show a new method for checking out the early atherosclerosis. Method: Across-sectional study was carried out among 98 patients without history of clinical coronary disease, stroke or peripheral artery disease and without other CHD factors at risk (judgment standards of the diseases are detailed in the attached sections of the body paper). carotid ultrasound and baPWV examinations were performed and the blood samples were taken and then analyzed. Conclusion: High baPWV is a strong correlate for carotid atherosclerosis among patients with non-CHD-factor at risk. Besides, it always has relationships with gender, BMI, LDL-C, hs-CRP and HDL-C. baPWV is an examination which is easy using and carrying without any hurt to people. It's good for medical treatment organizations to check out the early atherosclerosis and learn about the severity degree of atherosclerosis. It's important for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the early atherosclerosis. It also makes great significance for reducing the incidence rate and the mortality rate.
