Objective: To study the therapeutical effect of the decoction of Bu- Shen-Shu-Gan on peripheral menopause syndrome (PMS), and to explore its action mechanism. Methods: We selected 50 patients with PMS, observe the clinical symptoms' improvement after treatment and detect the concentrition of E2,FSH,LH,β-EP,IL-2,LPO,PTH,CT in the blood. Results: The clinical symptoms are significantly improved and the clinical total efficiency is 98.28%.The improvement of Kupperman scores is very significant (P<0.01). After treatment, the concentrition of FSH, LH in the blood is lowered, while the concentrition of E2 in the blood is raised (P<0.05). The concentrition ofβ-EP,IL-2 is significantly raised after treatment (P<0.05). The LPO,PTH is remarkblely reduced,and CT is raised(P<0.05) Conclusions: The decoction of Bu- Shen-Shu-Gan has definitely therapeutical effect on PMS. It can effectively alleviate such troublesome symptoms as hectic fever,sweating fret and wakefulness.And the mechanism might be related to regulating the neuroendocrine-immune Network as a whole.The study achievements provide new thoughtways and methods in treating PMS.
