Objective To study the relationship between the expression of Ki-67,C-erbB-2,P-gp,GST-Ï€and Topoâ…¡in the esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and the clinicophaological parameters, and analyze their clinical significance. Methods Totally 72 consecutive cases were studied, gender, age, course of the disease, tumor location, size, gross type, TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, depth of invasion and differentiation were used as independent variables. Ki-67, C-erbB-2, P-gp, GST-Ï€and Topoâ…¡were used as dependent variables, which were separated analyzed by the multiple linear regression analysis, and do normality test on the residuals of dependent variable. Results The positive Ki-67 expression in the tissues of esophageal carcinoma was negatively correlated with the differentiation(r=ï¹£0.30101,P=0.0102), but not correlated with gender, age, course of the disease, tumor location, size, gross type, TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and depth of invasion. The positive C-erbB-2 expression in the tissues of esophageal carcinoma was negatively correlated with the differentiation ( r=ï¹£0.24108 , P=0.0423 ) , was probably positively correlated with the depth of invasion., but not correlated with gender, age, course of the disease, tumor location, size, gross type, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis. The positive GST-Ï€expression in the tissues of esophageal carcinoma was positive correlated with the differentiation(r=0.24566,P=0.0345), was probably negatively correlated with the size and lymph node metastasis, but not correlated with gender, age, course of the disease, tumor location, gross type, TNM stage and depth of invasion. The positive P-gp expression in the tissues of esophageal carcinoma was positive correlated with the differentiation(r=0.29147,P=0.0110), was probably positively correlated with the TNM stage, was probably negatively correlated with the age, but not correlated with gender, course of the disease, tumor location, size, gross type, lymph node metastasis and depth of invasion. The positive Topoâ…¡expression in the tissues of esophageal carcinoma was negatively correlated with the differentiation and the TNM stage(r1=ï¹£0.26253,P1=0.0368;r2=ï¹£0.34196,P2=0.0056), was probably correlated with the gender, tumor location and depth of invasion, but not correlated with age, course of the disease, size, gross type and lymph node metastasis. The distribution of the dependent variable residuals subjected to normal. Conclusion The positive Ki-67, C-erbB-2, P-gp, GST-Ï€and Topoâ…¡expression in the tissues of esophageal carcinoma were significantly correlated with the differentiation. Detection of the five biological markers can reflect the biological behavior of the esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, and can guide clinical selection of chemotherapeutic drugs.
