| Objective: To compare the rusults of laparoscopic and open colectomy for colorectal cancer and to investigate the mini-invasive advantages of laparoscopic surger. Methods: 31 patients with laparoscopic colectomy for colorectal cancer were collected from Chongqing Ninth People's Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University in March 2008 ~ March 2011. Meanwhile 31 patients with open colectomy randomly were collected. the safety of the operations and recent complications between the two groups were compared. Results: 1 cases in laparoscopic group converted to open colectomy because of abdominal metastases. Operation time in in laparoscopic group was longer than in open colectomy group. The surgical bleeding ,the time of intestinal recovery, diet recovery and postoperative analgesia, were significantly less than open group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between two groups in the number of lymph node dissected, specimen length, far edge of distance and the postoperative complications(P>0.05). Conclusion: Laparoscopic colectomy is a minimally invasive surgery , can achieve the same cure effect of traditional open colectomy, has advantages of less blood loss, quicker recovery ,fewer complications, is a safe and reliable operation. |
