Objective:Retrospective analysis of high-dose tranexamic acid in reducing blood loss during spinal orthopedic hand the amount of safety and effectiveness. Materials and Methods:In January 2007-2010 December spinal surgery in our department received a total of 59 patients. Male 26. Female 33. Ages 8-22 years old. Patients were divided into high-dose tranexamic acid group and the placebo group. High-dose tranexamic acid group after induction of anesthesia tranexamic acid loading of 100 mg/kg. maintenance dose of beginning of operation to give 10 mg/ kg/h.The placebo group received the same amount of saline. Collection of patient's height, weight, bending angle, preoperative and postoperative hemoglobin, hematocrit, WBC, prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time, D dimer, ATâ…¢C, international normalized ratio, fiber protease time. Blood loss, operative time, intraoperative segmental fixation and fusion. By two independent samples t-test analvsis. Results:The patients preoperative name, sex, age, height, weight, scoliosis type, hemoglobin, hematocrit, prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time,D dimer, ATâ…¢C, international standardization Ratio, fiber protease time was not statistically significant. Blood loss, blood transfusion, postoperative drainage was statistically significant. No postoperative deep vein thrombosis, renal failure, myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, the incidence of complications such as wound infection. Conclusion:High dose of tranexamic acid in orthopedic spine surgery can significantly reduce blood loss and blood transfusion. Is safe and effective. Conclusion:High dose of tranexamic acid in orthopedic spine surgery can significantly reduce blood loss and blood transfusion. Is safe and effective.
