The level of TNF-a in serum of the low dose Portulaca oleracea decoction group, the medium dose Portulaca oleracea decoction group and the high dose Portulaca oleracea decoction group have to descend, show significant difference with the model group(P<0.01). The level of TNF-a in serum of the medium dose Portulaca oleracea decoction group and the high dose Portulaca oleracea decoction group show no significant difference with the blank group and the western medicine group(P>0.05).Conclusion:Through the experiment, we discover that the Portulaca oleracea decoction can improve the general condition of the ulcerative colitis model rats and the level of TNF-a in serum of the small rats which treatment by Portulaca oleracea decoction have obviously lower.
