Study On The Buyang Huanwu Decoction Redevelopment And Refine

Objective To confirm the base active substances from Buyang Huanwu Decoction,which can cure ischemic stroke. The effective parts in virgin prescription were extracted by modern scientific technology, and made into herbal compound recipe capsule. Then we built the methods of quality control. Using animal test to find out which one was better to repair the pathological structure in hippocampus' CA1 area after the cerebral ischemia reperfusion, the virgin prescription of Buyang Huanwu Decoction or the compound recipe capsule, in order to certify the latter was the former and to search for the mechanism in the view of antioxidant. The whole study is under the guide of TCM theory,Methods To find out the base active substances from Buyang Huanwu Decoction uder the knowledge of Chinese materia medica and Chinese materia pharmacology and following the formula's composition rule—monarch, minister, adjuvant and dispatcher—and compotibility law. According to physico-chemical properties of each medicinal active ingredients in the formula.Different extraction and purification ways were used in all kinds of medical materials.HPLC was used to quantitate on each effective parts of active monomers, and retention time was used to identify the targets. ferulaic acid and peoniflorin were served as Quality control index of the Compound capsule. The model, SD male rats with cerebral ischemia reperfusion,was designed to find out which one was better to repair the pathological structure in hippocampus' CA1 area, the virgin prescription of Buyang Huanwu Decoction or the compound recipe capsule. These two dosage forms of Buyang Huanwu Decoction were evaluated, on the basis of determining the activity of SOD in blood serum and brian, the content of MDA, and the water content of the brian tissuek.Results The capsule's dose sharply reduced and the quality was stable after purified. Pharmacodynamics study shows that both of the Buyang Huanwu Decoction and the compound recipe capsule could improve the pathological morphology and structure of hippocampus' CA1 area, and the capsule did a better job. Both of them could make the activity of SOD rise in blood serum and brian, and make the content of MDA reduce,and the middle dosage of capsule did best. Both of them could reduce the water content of the brian tissue as well, and the high dosage of capsule did best. Conclusion Both of the Buyang Huanwu Decoction and the compound recipe capsule could repair and protect the rats' whole cerebral ischemia reperfusion. The study found out that it's more exactly in therapeutic effect, more stable in quality, easier to take the medicine.
